Community Food Truck
Project No. 66- Establishing the first community Food Truck at Ramat Eliyahu Community Center. people with disabilities will operate it.
The Rishon LeZion Foundation supports a “social café” venture, whose purpose is to establish a business where youth at risk will work and be partners in management.
Including these young people in an entrepreneurial business project will enable them to become part of a normative, challenging and attractive framework, through practical learning and experience in taking personal and group responsibility, in decision-making and in becoming part of the “real” business world.
Involvement in the project will provide the teens with a meaningful and non-stigmatic framework for belonging. It will strengthen their self-image, enable them to experience success and to learning “something valuable.” Similarly, it will contribute to training them for work, to specialized studies and to creating a supportive treatment framework. It is being run in cooperation with and with close support from the Ministry of Education.
