The Rishon LeZion Foundation awards thousands of grants and loans to students participating in PERACH (student mentoring and tutoring project), in addition to the basic scholarship provided by the PERACH organization itself.
The purpose is to encourage social involvement by students in the education sphere in the city. A multi-year analysis conducted by the municipality shows that the additional assistance we provide has led to a rise in the number of PERACH mentors participating in volunteer activity.
We are looking to expand the activity of the foundations that support students within the PERACH project. These contributions would be used for scholarships or to create a fund for generating monies to be distributed as grants.
The scholarship fund was established in cooperation with the Rishon LeZion Municipality and benefactor families, among them Shmil Rabin and David Kauli z”l. To date, the Foundation has awarded more than 400 grants and made more than 300 loans.
* The scholarships are awarded pursuant to criteria that the Foundation publishes annually, and according to earmarked donations that are raised for this purpose.
