About 8,500 Holocaust survivors recognized by the Ministry of Finance currently live in Rishon LeZion. These seniors are aged 80 and above, and a third of them receive a supplemental income allowance. In the wake of the coronavirus outbreak, their need for support and assistance became acute.
The city’s Social Inclusion Division is responsible for connecting with associations for helping the elderly by supplying them with food parcels and cooked food. In recent months, the number of requests has grown ever larger. We invite you to donate to one of the projects that help elderly Holocaust survivors living among us to get through this difficult period with dignity.
