There is an open area at the Ramat Eliyahu Youth Center that serves all of the neighborhood youth. It is a place where the teens come to enjoy themselves, meet, play and spend some of their free time. The space contains a variety of games, including table games, ping pong, pool, a PlayStation and more. In addition, there are sitting areas where the kids and center staff can spend time together and engage in conversation on a range of subjects.
The open area is a central tool in creating a connection with the neighborhood youth. Here, the teens encounter games that, for the most part, they cannot find elsewhere.
This is a space where teens meet up with everyone, and therefore it is incredibly important for the youth center. Due to the tremendous use made of all the equipment, games and furniture, there is a lot of wear and tear. In addition, there is a significant shortage of additional equipment, since many teens come and the wait is long, leading to a situation in which not all of them get to enjoy playing the various games.
The club serves hundreds of youth daily, on a continual basis. In order to provide them with a quality and enjoyable experience, we need contributions for maintenance and upkeep of the existing equipment, and for replacement of parts that break, wear out or get used up.
All donations are gratefully received, and will be used to make a positive change for the youth of Ramat Eliyahu.
